About the 2026 Back the Blue 5k
The course runs on level road around the Jimmy Burke Activity Center, where the race is based. The terrain stays flat the whole way, which makes it comfortable for most paces. The event is tied to a police community fundraiser, so the crowd skews toward families and local officers, with a cookoff and festival starting up right after the run.
Packet pickup is available the two evenings before the race at the activity center, with race-morning pickup opening early as a backup. After you finish, the BBQ cook-off and festival are already getting started in the same area, so most people stick around.
