About the 4th Annual B-29 Museum & Memorial 5K
The course runs around the grounds of a museum dedicated to the local historic airfield and its veterans, looping past an All-Veterans Memorial. The terrain is open and relatively flat, the kind you find around a preserved historic site. A shorter walk option follows a historic trail along the same grounds, so the whole area gets used.
Museum exhibits are open to runners and veterans on race day, which gives the morning a different character than most local road races. Packet pickup runs the evening before as well as early on race morning.
