The course runs through Humboldt Redwoods State Park on a paved road lined with old-growth redwood trees. It follows a creek through the park, and the road winds gently with one gradual climb but stays mostly flat. The trees are enormous and close, and the quiet of the forest is what most people talk about afterward. It is certified as a Boston qualifier.
