About the Autumn Leaves 50-Mile, 50K & 30K
The course follows the Willamette River, and the fall color along it is the real draw. Red and yellow maples line the route, and the canopy is typically at its peak during the race. The terrain sticks close to the river corridor, so the surroundings stay consistent and the footing is mostly natural path through parkland.
Champoeg Park sits right alongside the course, and many runners turn the weekend into more than a race by camping there beforehand or after. Yurt sites are popular with the crowd that comes in early, so if that appeals, booking ahead is worth the effort.
