About the Austin Reardon Memorial 5K Road Race- Third Annual
The course starts and finishes at a Knights of Columbus hall, looping through residential streets near Norwood High School. The route winds through the neighborhood on parkways and quiet side streets, with signage along the way and police detail at key intersections. It is a road race in name and feel, but walkers are as much a part of it as runners.
The race honors a Norwood High School graduate, and the scholarship fund his foundation runs is what the entry fees support. Beyond that, the post-race scene includes music, food, and raffles. The start and finish area at the Knights of Columbus keeps everything anchored in one spot.
