About the Aurora Turkey Trot 5K & Mashed Potato Mile

The course starts and finishes at a high school and winds through the surrounding school campus. The terrain is what you would expect from a campus loop: mostly flat, paved, and familiar-feeling. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, so expect cold air and a crowd that has somewhere to be afterward.

Everything happens outside, with a tent in the parking lot handling check-in and awards. Restroom trailers are set up nearby. Water and bananas are at the finish, and a local coffee shop and donut vendor are on-site for purchase. Bringing a non-perishable food donation is encouraged.
