About the Athletic Brewing Company Fairfield Road Races
The half marathon and the shorter race both finish at Jennings Beach, which sets the tone for the whole morning. The courses are certified and have clocks along the way, and there are bands and cheer groups stationed on both routes. Medical personnel are spread across the course and at the beach, which is reassuring on a warm early-summer day.
Packet pickup happens at the Fairfield University Bookstore on Post Road, with options the evening before and again the next morning for half marathon runners. After the race, the beach fills out with live music, food, beverages, vendors, and an awards ceremony. There is also a beer mile event using non-alcoholic Athletic Brewing beer for anyone who wants a different kind of challenge.
