About the AthHalf Half Marathon and AthFest Educates 5K

The half marathon winds through historic neighborhoods, past downtown, and across a university campus, with local bands set up at points along the way. The crowd turns out well here, mostly neighbors who step off their porches to watch. The 5K stays closer to downtown and the Boulevard neighborhood, and it gets live music at the start and finish as well.

Proceeds from both races go toward music and arts education for local school-age kids, so the race has a reason to exist beyond the running itself.
