The course runs through Mill Stream park and into the surrounding neighborhoods, and the organizers describe it as tough, with a real climb built into the route. It starts and ends near the firefighters, which gives the finish a certain weight: this race exists because the local fire department lost someone, and that context is present in the atmosphere. The Street Fair is happening around you when you finish.
