About the Art at the Springs 5K

The course heads out from Marietta Street, picks up a paved nature path along Lucille Creek, and turns back to finish inside Thurman Springs Park. It stays flat the whole way, with a stretch through historic downtown Powder Springs before the path takes over. The surroundings open up near the creek, and the park finish has a pleasant, unhurried feel.

The race runs alongside an arts festival, which is setting up in the park as runners come through. That gives the finish area a little more going on than most road races this size, with vendors and artwork visible from the course.
