The course runs through the vineyard grounds at Armstrong Valley Winery, so there is scenery along the way that you would not get on a road race. The event is timed and scored, with age group awards available, but the winery setting is clearly the draw. There is a wine pour waiting at the finish.
Packet pickup is race morning only, opening an hour before the start. No need to make a separate trip out the night before.
