About the 2026 Arc Race

The Arc Race is a fundraiser for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and that purpose is visible on the course. One of the longer-running programs here pairs runners and walkers with athletes who have disabilities, so they can participate together. Several distance options mean families tend to show up in full, kids included, and the atmosphere reflects that.

Packet pickup runs the afternoon and evening before the race at a Fleet Feet location in East Syracuse, with race-morning pickup available in the registration area if you miss it.

Common Questions About the 2026 Arc Race

Will I finish last at the 2026 Arc Race?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 34:59, and the last recorded finisher came in around 56:33, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 2026 Arc Race a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 240 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 2026 Arc Race?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 18:35 while the median finisher took 34:59. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
