About the Apple Harvest Run 2026

The course starts outside Page School on a fall morning and splits into two distances, one a longer out-and-back through the area around West Newbury and one a shorter loop. The surroundings are quiet and residential, with enough tree cover that the foliage is worth looking at. The race has been around long enough to feel like a neighborhood fixture rather than a managed event.

After the main races finish, the school grounds fill out with food from local restaurants, a beer tent from a local brewery, and a massage station. There are also bounce houses and inflatables, so families tend to stick around. Bringing your own chair or blanket is encouraged if you plan to stay.

Common Questions About the Apple Harvest Run 2026

Will I finish last at the Apple Harvest Run 2026?

Almost certainly not. Half the 1 Miles field finished slower than 12:25, and the last recorded finisher came in around 50:20, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Apple Harvest Run 2026 a good first 1 Miles?

It is a small race (193 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Apple Harvest Run 2026?

The 1 Miles winner ran 7:07 while the median finisher took 12:25. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
