About the Apple Harvest Run - 10K - 5K - 1 Mile
The course runs through working apple and cherry orchards on hard-packed dirt roads wide enough for farm vehicles. The footing is firm and mostly flat, and rows of fruit trees line the route on both sides. It is an unusual setting for a race, with the orchard in full harvest and the smell of ripe apples in the air.
Everything starts and finishes at Rowley's Red Barn. Packet pickup runs the evening before, with race-morning pickup available for a small extra fee. After the race, the barn and surrounding grounds have apple cider donuts, cider slush, and ice cream, along with a pumpkin patch, hay rides, and a corn maze if you want to keep the morning going.
