About the Another Dam 50k & 25k
The course runs a loop through Englewood MetroPark, repeating it for either the shorter or longer distance. The terrain mixes trail, grass, and pavement, and the route passes three waterfalls along the way. There is some climbing on each loop, nothing brutal, but enough to keep it honest. The organizers describe it as their fastest ultra course, and it draws both first-timers and people chasing personal bests.
Packet pickup and check-in happen at the Lawwill Shelter, which also serves as the start, finish, and an aid station. Each loop passes through a second shelter as well, so you see support regularly. Aid stations are well-stocked with savory and sweet options, pickles included. The park entrance opens early in the morning, and restrooms are available at the start and at points out on the course.
