About the Upton VFW Run to Remember 5K
This race runs entirely on roads out of the Upton VFW, and the course stays mostly flat throughout. It honors veterans, and participants are encouraged to wear a veteran's name on race day. The field includes runners as well as walkers and stroller pushers, who line up behind the runners at the start.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the VFW, with race-morning pickup and registration available as well. Water is out on the course and at the start area, and there are refreshments waiting at the finish. A kids' fun run follows the main race on a baseball field just behind the building.
