About the Andy Gavin's Green Ridge Mile
This is a mile race down a flat stretch of N. Washington Ave. in Scranton, starting a couple of blocks up from Andy Gavin's Eatery and Pub. The course lives up to its "Fast and Flat" billing, and the race benefits United Cerebral Palsy. Trophies go to the top overall finishers and masters, with age group awards spread across a wide range of categories.
Same-day registration and packet pickup happen at Andy Gavin's before the start, so there is no need to come out the day before. The pub is the natural gathering spot before and after, which gives the whole morning a neighborhood feel.
