About the Amery Turkey Trot
The course heads out and back along a flat gravel state trail. It crosses a couple of roads along the way, and volunteers are posted at those spots to flag traffic, though runners are expected to yield. The trail stays open to the public during the race, so there are also stray rocks and roots to watch underfoot.
Packet pickup is at the Soo Line Pavilion on race morning, with parking available next to the Stower Trailhead, across the street at the pavilion, or on nearby side streets. The start is prompt, so arriving with time to park and grab your bib matters. The finish line tent has water and bananas waiting.
