About the Amery Fall Festival 5K
The course loops counterclockwise through Amery's streets, mixing pavement, sidewalks, a trail, and a bridge crossing or two. There is one real climb early on, long enough to notice, so holding back there pays off later. The second mile follows a river trail behind a hospital, and from there the route flattens and runs slightly downhill all the way to the finish.
The start and finish are near the Danielson Stage, inside a large white tent where packet pickup also happens race morning. Parking is on nearby side streets, a short walk away. The course is not closed to traffic, so volunteers are posted at crossings to alert runners, not to stop cars. Water and bananas are at the finish line tent.
