About the American Legion Beer & Wine Run, Walk, & Stumble
This one is less a traditional race than an evening out with a course attached. After each loop of the route, you pass through a beer zone where you can swap a ticket from your packet for a glass of beer, wine, or root beer. Pace is beside the point, and the organizer says so directly. A prize drawing and food follow at the finish.
Packet pickup is before the start, and the entry packet includes drink tickets good for the beer zone along the way. The American Legion post and a local liquor store are the main sponsors, and the whole thing has the feel of a post at the end of the week rather than a race-morning production.
