About the America 250 Freedom Run/Walk
The course runs through a historic campus with a patriotic theme woven through the route. Historical displays, costumed participants, and colonial-style music are set up along the way, so there is something to look at between steps. Several distance options mean you can make it a short outing or stretch it into a longer morning. The whole event raises money for the historical society that hosts it.
Food trucks and refreshments are at the event, and the museum and historic site are open to participants. The campus itself does a lot of the work here: it is an older property with enough going on that walking the grounds after you finish feels like part of the day rather than just waiting around.
