About the Altra TrailFest
The run follows a trail named for what you find underfoot: natural, uneven terrain rather than groomed paths. It is held at a state park east of Lewis Center, and the pace and distance are self-directed, so it works whether you are a regular trail runner or someone who has mostly stuck to roads and wants to see what dirt feels like.
Altra brings demo shoes so you can try a pair on the actual trail before you decide anything. Afterward, the group moves to a nearby bar called Watersedge. There is a trail mix bar at the event itself, and registration is handled in advance; showing up is all you need to do on the day.
