About the Altra Charles Street 12 and 2-Person Relay

The course runs south along Charles Street, a National Scenic Byway, from a shopping center in Towson all the way into downtown Baltimore. The route passes through some of the city's older neighborhoods alongside historic churches, museums, and academic buildings. It is a point-to-point course, so there is no doubling back, and the surroundings change steadily as you move toward the city center.

The finish is at the Camden Yards Sports Complex, between the stadiums, where the post-race party is held. That setting is unusual enough to be worth knowing about before you arrive.
