About the Allen Park 5K Run/Walk
The course runs through residential streets and comes back to Allen Park Presbyterian Church, where it both starts and finishes. It is described as flat and quick, the kind of road race where a solid effort tends to produce a solid time. The race is put on by the Downriver Runners club and benefits a college scholarship named for a founding member of both the club and this event.
Awards for overall and age group finishers are announced after the race at the church, so there is a reason to stick around. A kids fun run goes off before the main race, untimed, which brings out families early and warms up the start area.

The Allen Park 5K Run/Walk has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
