This race is held in memory of Alexa Brown, with proceeds going toward childhood cancer research. There is also a short kids' fun run on the butterfly theme, so families tend to show up together. The course details are spare, but the purpose behind the morning is clear and the crowd reflects that.
Packet pickup is the evening before at Clyde United Methodist Church on Maple Street. The route is foot traffic only, so leave the bikes, scooters, and skateboards behind.
