About the Alamosa Veterans Memorial Park Race
The race starts and finishes at the Alamosa Family Recreation Center, with a shorter and a longer option, the longer being a couple of loops of the same route. The course itself was still being finalized when this was written, so the terrain is not yet described, but the setting is a recreation center on the edge of town. Proceeds support the local Veterans Memorial Park.
Food and drinks follow the finish, along with an awards ceremony. The event draws families as well as runners, so the finish area tends to have people there to cheer.
