About the Akron Pride 5K
The course runs through downtown Akron, threading past historic streets in the heart of the city. It starts and finishes on Main Street, so the crowd at the end is right there from the beginning. The race is part of a broader series of neighborhood runs organized around the city, and the Pride Festival backdrop gives the finish area a celebratory atmosphere.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the Akron Art Museum, which stays open late that night and offers free admission, so it is worth arriving early to look around. Race-day pickup is also available in the hours before the start. Awards are handed out at the finish line after the race, and you need to be present to collect them.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Akron Pride 5K has been held every year since at least 2024. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
