About the AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run

The course runs out and back on hard-packed sand along the beach, with the ocean right beside you the whole way. It takes place in the early evening, so the light is low and the heat of the day has backed off. The footing is firm enough to run a decent pace, though sand is sand and it will work your legs a little differently than pavement.

Common Questions About the AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run

Will I finish last at the AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run?

Almost certainly not. Half the 5K field finished slower than 41:03, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:11:49, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run a good first 5K?

A field of 503 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 5K, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the AdventHealth Moonlight Beach Run?

The 5K winner ran 20:12 while the median finisher took 41:03. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
