About the AdventHealth Groveland Turkey Trot 5K & 10K
The course runs along Wilson Lake Parkway, where Groveland's hills give it more character than most Thanksgiving morning races. Roads are closed for the shorter distance, which makes it feel clean and unhurried. The longer option dips onto hard-packed off-road terrain, still open to cars but clearly marked, so expect a rougher stretch underfoot for part of it.
Packet pickup happens the couple of evenings before the race at a running store in downtown Clermont, with a race-morning window at the venue if you miss it. Parking is off-street, split between the park and an adjacent school. There is a food bank collection happening at pickup and on race morning for a local nonprofit, if you want to bring something along.
