About the Very Merry 5K
The course winds through Main Street and several side streets, past homes competing in a holiday light contest. Runners vote for the most festive house along the way, which gives the route a reason to look around rather than just push the pace. Christmas costumes are very much the norm here.
Beyond the main race, there are shorter distances for toddlers and kids. The post-race scene has food trucks, fire pits, a live DJ, ice sculptures, and a pie competition, so most people seem to stick around well after they finish.
