About the Race for the Ages
The course is a one-mile loop through Fred Deadman Park, run again and again over the duration of the event. The format flips the usual ultra hierarchy: older runners get more hours to accumulate miles, so the veterans are genuinely competing at the front, not just hoping to beat a cutoff. Locals share the park throughout, with baseball and tennis happening nearby.
Hot meals come out regularly, catered by a local restaurant, prepackaged so you can take them back to your tent. Tent camping is available around the loop itself, and motels are within walking distance of the park. Parking is tight, and the course runs through part of the lot.
