About the 9-11 Holt Hero Run

The course starts at a fire department, heads south along Aurelius Road, winds through a neighborhood, and finishes at a plaza next to a 9/11 memorial. The race benefits families of first responders killed in the line of duty and a camp that serves veterans, organized by the local fire department, sheriff's office, and American Legion post.

Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the fire department, with additional pickup on race day through the afternoon. Just before the start, the fire chief leads a remembrance presentation at the fire department bay, which sets the tone for the whole evening.
