About the 5K Your Ways

The course runs through Crawford County Forest Preserve, and the unusual part is the split start: runners choose at the beginning whether to take the asphalt trail or the dirt trail, then the two paths come back together at the finish. The dirt option is softer underfoot but can change with recent rain. The paved side has a short gravel stretch with a slight climb.

Packet pickup is offered the evening before at the forest preserve shelter, and again race morning at the cabin on the same property. The race benefits a local program that provides weekend and summer meals to children in Crawford County. Prizes go to top finishers on each trail, with age group awards as well.
