About the 2nd Annual 5K Trail Run/Walk at Jacobsburg State Park
The course runs on the Homestead Trail inside Jacobsburg State Park, a natural setting with enough rolling terrain to keep things honest. Past participants have called out the hills specifically, so expect some genuine climbing through the woods rather than a flat loop.
Two parking areas serve the event, one at the Environmental Center and one in the main lot. There is a water stop at the start and finish and another roughly halfway through. Fruit, snacks, and bagels are set out at the finish. Age group prizes are awarded, and there are costume contests for most patriotic and most holiday spirit.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2026 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Sep 10, 2026.
