About the 5K PUMPKIN FUN RUN/WALK
The course mixes streets and trails through Hewitt, so the terrain shifts underfoot as you go. It is not a pure road race and not a pure trail race, which keeps things honest. The fire department hosts it, and the whole event centers on the pavilion at Yellowstone Park, where the morning starts and finishes.
Packet pickup opens at the pavilion on race morning well before the start. After the race there is a meal and door prizes back at the same spot, with age group awards handed out there too. A kids run goes off just before the main event, so families tend to arrive early.
