About the 2026 5k Foot Pursuit
The race runs out of The Rec on Bunkum Road and benefits Special Olympics Illinois. The post-race scene gives the morning real character: a shaved ice stand sets up near the finish, and a DJ keeps music going through the whole post-race stretch.
The finish area has refreshments waiting, including the shaved ice truck, so there is reason to stick around after you cross the line.
