About the 56th NorCal John Frank Memorial Run
The main distance follows the Sacramento River Trail and crosses a pair of pedestrian bridges, one a concrete ribbon that dips close to the water. The trail runs along the river, so the surroundings are open and natural rather than urban. Shorter distances share some of the same ground, making the course familiar to anyone who trains in the area.
Packet pickup the day before is at Fleet Feet Redding, a local running store. On race morning, registration opens at Lake Redding Park, which is also where the start area is set up. Parking is available nearby, with some spots reserved for race staff and volunteers, so arrive with a little time to find a general spot.
