About the 4 Our Freedom 5K

The course runs on a private farm outside Earlysville, on the same cross country terrain used by a university's competitive running teams. It has the feel of a true cross country race, not a road 5K: natural surfaces, open land, and real contours underfoot. Proceeds go toward programs for local veterans and military families.

Packet pickup runs at two different spots in the days before the race, including a sporting goods store and a fitness center. A vendor area at the start draws veteran-owned businesses and military support organizations, so there is activity around the start line before the gun goes off.
