About the 18th RUN FOR THE PAWS 5K, 5K WALK & 1M DOG WALK

The course runs through the Seabreeze neighborhood of Dewey Beach, staying flat the whole way on road. Arrows and cones mark every turn, and officers are posted along the route to keep runners on track. Dogs are welcome and go off from the back, which gives the start a different energy than most road races. Proceeds support a local animal welfare organization.

Packet pickup is the evening before at the Dewey Beach Lions Club on Dagsworthy Street, and parking passes are handed out there. Race morning registration opens early and closes before the gun goes off, so arriving with a bib already in hand makes things easier.
