About the 174th Attack Wing Runway 5K

The course runs on an actual airport runway at a military base outside downtown Syracuse. There is no pavement more flat or more wide open than this, and the surroundings make it feel unlike any other local race. A military aircraft is on display near the course, which gives the morning a distinctly military feel.

Everyone entering the base needs a REAL ID-compliant license or an acceptable alternative, so check your wallet before race day. Adults who show up without qualifying identification will not get through the gate. Packet pickup runs the evening before at a Fleet Feet location in East Syracuse, with the base entrance off Townline Road directing you straight to parking on arrival.
