About the 10K On The Bay
All distances start and finish at the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, right on the bay. The course runs along the shoreline, so the water is with you for most of the route, and the coastal air keeps things cool even when the sun is out. It is a flat run with open views rather than shade and trees.
The start and finish area sits at the Interpretive Center, which gives the whole morning a grounded sense of place. Post-race, you are already at the water's edge, which is a good spot to cool down after.
